How to find us

If you never had a good reason to visit the most beautiful place on earth before, you certainly have now you're looking for a great boat and engine deal. But even if you only come to see Dartmouth, you will soon realise that it's hidden treasures are best seen from the river so you will still need a boat and outboard and for that you will need to visit Chris Hoyle Marine.

Here's how to find us.

From Dartmouth, take the lower ferry to Kingswear - car or foot ferry. As you leave the ferry, go up the hill past the railway station. If you're driving, take the left fork by the bus turning point and follow the one-way system till you find somewhere to park. If you're walking, take the right fork - you will find us a few yards up on the left.

From Torbay or Brixham, turn off the Torbay to Brixham road at Churston and follow the A379 to Dartmouth. Branch left on to the B3205 just past the expensive new houses - it's signposted to the lower ferry. Follow the road all the way down till you pass the cemetery on the left then bear left into the one way system that leads directly to Lower Contour Road.

In the high season, you may find ferry queues backing right up the hill from the river so move over to the right hand lane (see picture on right). Parking is a nightmare most of the time so you may find it's easier to swing right into the one way system leading back to Torbay and look for somewhere to leave your car. Darthaven Marina have a reasonably large car park where, for a moderate fee, you can park while you visit us. Turn right as you leave Darthaven and walk back up the road to the bus turning point then turn left and walk the few yards to our premises.

You will easily spot our frontage (pictured on the left) and are always assured of a friendly welcome. Please park considerately as vehicle spaces for residents are severely restricted. If you risk parking on the yellow lines please note that mentioning Chris Hoyle's name doesn't really cut any ice with the local traffic warden.
